OK so I'm an anti video game parent growing up we had atari Sega regular Nintendo super Nintendo game boy game gear ps1 Xbox etc etc however I'm a big believer I'm outdoor sports and hobbies so that being said my son gets 2 hours per evening stipulations homework finished first and grades are to be kept up as for quality my son is on cloud 19 dream level!
I like the Xbox series s for its great price to performance ratio.
It plays my games (fifa, rocket league, nhl) pretty good, plus the spotify and media apps just great.
Not so heavy and all digital- a great travel buddy.
Came a day earlier, so far so good!
The Xbox series S is definitely one of the BEST consoles ever owned hands down! It was skeptical in purchasing the series S because ppl on the internet would have you believe the series S is an underpowered, underperforming waste of money but I am here to tell you that could be further from the truth!
If your looking to gift this to someone who plays video games I would recommend this one. It’s in the cheaper side but it’s worth it ,apart from the 500GB storage it’s quick , graphics overall are way better and responds way quicker the the older Xbox’s. This is a perfect gift for an upcoming gamer.
I admire the Series S for what it is, a very simple 1080p/occasionally 1440p console, nothing more nothing less. It's size is very convenient but games running on a 4K TV just look horrible. I had one and got rid of it in about two days. It's GPU is very inferior to the Xbox One X, which most people look(ed) over with 4K 30fps, and 60fps games. This system is capable of NONE of that, even with a much newer processor. Just streaming movies in 4K and has no disc drive which is like not having a CD player in your car (anymore). Which a lot of people still care about for tangible media. But MS just have to cash in on it, typical.
Do something with the Series X, make it smaller (compact) and put out some actual games for people to play and maybe these will sell like a PS5. Oops I went and said a bad word, shame on me. lol. Well at least Sony have their act together. For just over $50 more you can/could by a Digital PS5, as long as you don't care about discs, and get twice the power!! Oh well I love my One X/PS5/PC/and Steam Deck. I just don't get the marketing schemes for these underpowered systems.
